Error standard

If the error of the fast blood glucose meter is within 20%, it is generally considered that it will not affect the change of the treatment measures and is therefore acceptable. Therefore, the World Health Organization's requirements for blood glucose meter error are within 20%.

The National Standard for Blood Glucose Meters issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China, GB/T 19634-2005, stipulates that the blood glucose meter is qualified according to the following requirements:

When the test range is less than or equal to 4.2mmol/L, the allowable deviation does not exceed plus or minus 0.83mmol/L.

The test range is greater than 4.2mmol/L. The allowable deviation is no more than plus or minus 20%.

The difference between the batches of blood glucose test strips should be no more than 15% between different batches of blood glucose test strips.
